Middlewood Nursery

This was our first project working with Elmore Kindergarten, comprising of a part new build and part restoration of the derelict lodge which is a listed building. The project design joined the two buildings together with a new link section providing a number of children’s play rooms on two levels with staff facilities contained within the link structure. The nursery can now accommodate 100 children.

Opened in 2004 it is set at the entrance of Wadsley Park and within Middlewood Park Conservation Area - it has a cosy home from home feeling in an amazing woodland outdoor setting.
